For all of those who don’t know me I’m Chris. I’m a wedding/fashion photographer in the shitty city of Pittsburgh. I needed a place to write all of my ramblings and show some cool images where I could be me, and not the profesh me on facebook. So here we are, my new blog…
This first post won’t be anything special, long or important. I just thought I should explain why I call myself RStarPhoto. Unlike some would believe, I didn’t anoint myself with this; it was given to me. I was at a party about two years ago with a bunch of fellow wedding photographers just hanging and watching the Steelers play a meaningless preseason game. It was the first time that I had been around them in quite awhile, so saying they were a bit taken aback is an understatement. I had changed quite a bit. You see, I’ve added two full sleeves, half a chest and half of my neck with Japanese tattoos from Pittsburgh’s best tattoo artist bar none, Ben Merrell. Go see him at Human Production Gallery and you won’t be disappointed. I also added a few piercings, so needless to say I didn’t look like your average wedding photographer. One of them commented, “you’re the resident rockstar photographer of Pittsburgh”. And a transformation was born…
My love, my life, my joy, my heart and soul is photography. I give everything every time I pick up my camera. Every image comes from my heart. It’s not a job to me, it’s my obsession…
So enough about me, I just wanted to say hey, and I hope all of you come back and see my images and my ramblings…
